Markforge does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. Everything runs locally in your browser.
Data Collection
Markforge does not collect any personal information. No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, no cookies. There is no server. There is no account system. There is no data to collect.
What the Extension Accesses
When you click the Markforge icon on a webpage, the extension reads the content of the active tab (text, images, metadata) to convert it to Markdown. This content is processed entirely within your browser and is never sent to any external server.
Your settings (display preferences, filename templates, download folder choice) are stored locally using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). This data stays on your device and is not accessible to anyone else.
